Welcome to our Online Bible Study.
We are glad that you are here.
Please, take some time to Share Your Thoughts With Us as they relate to 1 Thessalonians 1.

You can share anything that is on your heart but, if you don't know where to start, try reading these verses and answering one or more of the following "Honest Questions"

1 Thessalonians 1:6-8 - You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation with the joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8 For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.

Honest Questions:

1. Tell us about someone, other than Jesus, that you try to imitate. Why do you try to imitate them and do they know what sort of impact they have made on your life?

2. What are some of the specific ways you try to imitate Jesus?

3. Do you think of yourself as a person others believers should imitate? If so, why? If no, why not?

4. Do you think of yourself as a person unbelievers should imitate? If so, why? If no, why not?

5. What sort of reputation does your church have in the community?

6. If I put the points on my map in correctly, it is about 425 miles from Macedonia to Achaia. Do you have faith that you or your churches sphere of influence could be that big or even bigger? Why or why not?

7. What are some of the places your faith has taken you? What did you learn when you got there?

8. How much of a role does "the joy of the Holy Spirit" play in your walk of faith? Is this an aspect of your walk that you need to grow in or is it an area where people could learn a lot by watching or imitating you?

9. What was your favorite verse in 1 Thessalonians 1 and why?

10. Do you have any specific questions or prayer requests after reading 1 Thessalonians 1?
