Welcome to our Online Bible Study.
We are glad that you are here.

Please, take some time to Share Your Thoughts With Us as they relate to 1 Thessalonians 2.

You can share anything that is on your heart but, if you don't know where to start, try reading these verses and answering one or more of the following "Honest Questions"

1 Thessalonians 2:9-12 - For you recall, brethren, our labor and hardship, how working night and day so as not to be a burden to any of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, how devoutly and uprightly and blamelessly we behaved toward you believers; 11 just as you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you as a father would his own children, 12 so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

Honest Questions:

1. Do you think it is better for a Pastor to be bi-vocational or solely employed by the church?

2. What do you think a Pastor should get paid for the work that they do? Should it be less than the average income of a person in your town, the same as the average income of a person in your town, or more than the average income of a person in your town? Why do you think that?

3. The Apostle Paul says that he and his companions were working hard "night and day" so as not to be a burden to any one. Have we become lazy in our disciple making models when we only meet once or twice a week? Who's fault is that and how hard should we push to make a change, if needed?

4. Do you think the people of Thessalonica were less godly than the people in your community or more godly than the people in your community? How do you come to that conclusion?

5. Of these three attributes which one best describes the spiritual leaders in your community: devout, upright, or blameless? Are there any other words you think should be used to describe them?

6. Do your spiritual leaders act more like teachers or fathers when it comes to their interactions with you? Do you think that is a good thing or something that could be improved upon?

7. Think of someone you could exhort, encourage, or implore to walk in a manner worthy of their calling. Pray for them and ask God to show you one way that you could make a positive impact in their life this week. Do it. Then come back here and tell us how it went. Are you willing to do that?

8. What do you think it means to be called into the glory of God? Can you tell us a story that illustrates that concept?

9. What was your favorite verse in 1 Thessalonians 2 and why?

10. Do you have any specific questions or prayer requests after reading 1 Thessalonians 2?
