Philippians 3:17-19

Today we are reading Philippians 3. As we read, these verses stood out to me:
Philippians 3:17-19 - Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. 18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.

You can share anything that is on your heart but, if you don't know where to start, try reading these verses and answering one or more of the following "Honest Questions"
Honest Questions:
1. What is one way you feel comfortable asking people to follow your example?
2. Are you addressing or ignoring any areas in your life where you think it would not be good for people to follow your example? Why?
3. Who are some people you look up to as examples you want to follow? Have you recently reached out to them to thank them for the positive impact they have made in your life? If not, why not do it today?
4. Is your heart broken for people who live their lives as "enemies of the cross of Christ?"
5. What do you think it means to live life as an enemy of the cross of Christ?
6. What responsibility do we have to warn the enemies of the cross about their pending destruction and in your opinion what is the best way for us to warn them?
7. From this passage could we say that three "earthly things" are 1.) Hostility to the message of the Cross. 2.) Self-centeredness. 3.) Self-righteousness. How can we address these issues in our lives when we find them?
8. What is one thing we could do to take our mind of earthly things this week?
9. What was your favorite verse in Philippians 3 and why?
10. Do you have any specific questions or prayer requests after reading Philippians 3?
