Welcome to our online Bible study.
We are glad that you are here.

Today we are reading 2 Timothy 4.
As we read, these verses stood out to me:

2 Timothy 4:1-5 - I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Please, take some time to Share Your Thoughts With Us as they relate to this passage.

You can share anything that is on your heart but, if you don't know where to start, try reading these verses and answering one or more of the following "Honest Questions"

Honest Questions:

1. Is there anyone in your life that shows specific interest in making sure you do what is known of God's will for your life? How have they helped you most in your walk with Christ?

2. Are you helping anyone to develop their gifts or encouraging them to use their gifts on a regular basis? If no, would you be willing to ask God to help you find one person you could mentor? If so, what is something you do most often to encourage the person you are helping?

3. If you were asked to deliver a sermon in your community next week would you be ready to do it? If so, what would the main point of your message be?

4. Are you looking forward to the judgment of Christ? If not, look at 2 Timothy 4:8 and let us know if that changes your perspective about Judgement Day.

5. Can you tell us about a time when someone reproved or rebuked you with great patience and instruction?

6. Read 2 Timothy 4:3 is talking about ourselves, our mission, our vision, our calling what Paul is talking about when he says that people will accumulate for themselves teacher in accordance to their own desires? If not, what is he talking about? If so, how should we respond?

7. What kind of myths do people turn to in our day?
