Today we are reading 1 Timothy 5.
As we read, these verses stood out to me:
1 Timothy 5:5-8 - Now she who is a widow indeed and who has been left alone, has fixed her hope on God and continues in entreaties and prayers night and day. 6 But she who gives herself to wanton pleasure is dead even while she lives. 7 Prescribe these things as well, so that they may be above reproach. 8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

7. When you get the opportunity to speak about your relationship with God, how often do spiritual disciplines of some sort make their way into at least part of the conversation? Why?
8. Do you think of your job, or charity as a spiritual discipline? What about charity shown toward your own family when they are in need? Do you think of that as a spiritual discipline?
9. What was your favorite verse in 1 Timothy 5 and why?
