Welcome to our Online Bible Study.
We are glad that you are here.

Please, take some time to Share Your Thoughts With Us as they relate to Matthew chapter 21.

You can share anything that is on your heart but, if you don't know where to start, try reading these verses and answering one or more of the following "Honest Questions"

Matthew 21:38-41 - But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ 39 They took him, and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-growers?” 41 They *said to Him, “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out the vineyard to other vine-growers who will pay him the proceeds at the proper seasons.”

Honest Questions:

1. Who are the “vine-growers” and the “other vine-growers” Jesus is talking about in this parable?

2. What benefit could a person expect to receive by rejecting Jesus?

3. Is it only religious leaders that try to take what belongs to Jesus or is this a characteristic more common to man than we like to acknowledge? Explain.

4. What is the “vineyard” and who is the “owner of the vineyard” Jesus is talking about in this parable?

5. Have we misrepresented the heart of God at times and if so what can we do to correct it?

6. What do you think it means that the owner of the vineyard “will bring those wretches to a wretched end?”

7. What do you think it meas that the owner will pay the other vine-growers the “proceeds at the proper seasons?”

8. Do we have any obligation to point out these sort of issues in people when we see them or is this something we should just allow the Holy Spirit to identify in people as He wishes and independent of our assistance? Why?

9. What was your favorite verse in Matthew 21 and why?

10. Do you have any specific questions or prayer requests after reading Matthew 21?
