Welcome to our online Bible study.
We are glad that you are here.

Today we are reading Hebrews 1.
As we read, these verses stood out to me:

Hebrews 1:8-12 - But of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, And the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. 9 “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness above Your companions.” 10 And, “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands; 11 They will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment, 12 And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.”

Please, take some time to Share Your Thoughts With Us as they relate to this passage.

You can share anything that is on your heart but, if you don't know where to start, try reading these verses and answering one or more of the following "Honest Questions"

Honest Questions:

1. When was the last time you remember reading the book of Hebrews?

2. Off the top of your head do you have a favorite verse or chapter from the book of Hebrews?

3. If you were to summarize what you know of the purpose of the book of Hebrews what would you say?

4. In your own words, what is the main point being expressed in Hebrews 1?

5. Why would I say it is possible that happiness a bi-product of loving righteousness and hating lawlessness?

6. Do you think it is possible to stay happy if we do not love righteousness or hate lawlessness?

7. Re-read verses 10 through 12. These passages are attributing divine and eternal power to the Son of God. How is it possible for some people to claim the Bible does not teach that Jesus was anything more than a good man, a good teacher, a liar, or a lunatic?

8. Can you think of a song that leads us to worship Jesus? If so, please, put a YouTube link for that song in the comment section below and help lead us all into a time of worship.

9. What was your favorite verse in Hebrews 1 and why?

10. Do you have any specific questions or prayer requests after reading Hebrews 1?
